I'm Chris, a Chartered Structural Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the structural engineering industry. RetWall is my specialist retaining wall engineering practice, providing AS 4678 compliant designs across every Australian state and territory. Melbourne-based, 100% online — we engineer retaining walls remotely for clients from Perth to Sydney, Darwin to Hobart.

Professional Membership

Engineers Australia — Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng). The highest level of professional recognition, requiring demonstrated competency, experience, and ongoing professional development.

National Engineer Register (NER)

Listed on the National Engineer Register. NER registration is an independent, third-party assessment of qualifications, competency, and standing.

Continuous Professional Development

Engineering never stands still, and neither do I. I maintain an active CPD (Continuous Professional Development) programme in strict compliance with Engineers Australia requirements, staying current with evolving standards, materials, and design methodologies — particularly in AS 4678, soil mechanics, and geotechnical practice. CPD is a condition of CPEng status and one I take seriously rather than treat as a checkbox.

Beyond technical development, I work with an executive coach — Codruta Harsan — to sharpen the business and leadership side of running a specialist engineering practice. Strong technical skills matter, but so does clear communication, client management, and sound decision-making under pressure.
